This post addresses the Internet Access issue when using Gobi Broadband while Proxy is present and connected to Cisco VPN. To solve this problem, you need to install your ISP Manager Software and all its updates. The following example applies to Verizon Wireless Service users:
Download & Install the Verizon Wireless Manager Software from: http://www.vzam.net/download/download.aspx?productid-230
Once the download & install is complete, Launch VZ Access Manager, go to "Options" then choose "Activation". Once your Broadband connection is active, run all updates by clicking on the "Help" menu option then choose "Check for Updates" - All updates have to be installed; so check for updates again after it completes installing them.
Once complete, Open Internet Explorer, click on "Tools" on your Menu options then choose "Internet Options" --> "Connection" tab --> click once on "Verizon Wireless VZAccess" to highlight it then click on "Settings" button to setup your proxy settings - Make sure the proxy settings match exactly what's setup under your "LAN Settings" Options. Click "OK" afterwards and close all browsers.
Restart your system, connect to your Broadband conenction using your default connection Manager software on your laptop, connect to Cisco VPN, and Launch Internet Explorer.
You should now be able to access the internet using your Broadband connection while proxy is enabled and connected to the Cisco VPN.
